Night at YOUR Museum

On a Friday evening , at the start of half term, hundreds of children and their families descended on Rugby Museum and Art Gallery for the Night at your Museum.

Our ambassadors took over one of the galleries to introduce visitors to materials (by using the materials bars from the busking box), made their own object using 3D doodle pens, stretching materials using the tensile tester and also learned to use the properties of materials to separate materials commonly found in their recycling (see our ‘Separating Materials‘ activity for more info).

Huge thanks to the volunteers from the museum and to our awesome ambassadors Tess and Melisha who helped to deliver a thoroughly enjoyable event – we definitely want to be back next year.
