We are delighted to announce that registration is now open for the Discover Materials Ambassadors (DMA) Conference 2026 which will take place on 17th September in Sheffield.
This event is a great chance to meet other ambassadors from across the network and is also an opportunity for those who are not (yet!) DMAs to learn more about the scheme, meet current ambassadors and then (hopefully) to sign up to help inspire the next generation of Materials Scientists.
This year’s event will be hosted by University of Sheffield and will recap what Discover Materials has been up to over the past year and learn from Lewis Owen how drama can be used to delivery impactful outreach.
After a networking lunch, during which participants will be encouraged to explore the Discover Materials outreach kit, there will be two hands-on workshops run by Dan Scotson and Durga Tilak – two of our very own ambassadors.
