Outreach Funding

Below are a list of links to sources of funding for Outreach activities relevant to Materials Science and Engineering.

1) Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) Resource Development Grant

Funding develop resources for schools that link to the materials, minerals and mining aspects of the 5-19 curriculum.

Funding: up to £1000

2) Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Outreach fund

A fund that provides financial support to members, individuals and organisations in order to enable them to run chemistry-based public and schools engagement activities

Funding: up to £5,000

Eligibility*: Applicant must be over 18, being a RSC member is not a requirement.

3) Institute of Physics (IoP)  Public Engagement Scheme

To fund projects that meaningfully engage whole family groups (including parents/carers) to improve their relationship with physics.

Funding: Between £500 and £4000
