3D printing pens

3D printing pens (or ‘Doodle pens’) are pen sized 3D printers entirely operated by hand and can be used to introduce pupils additive manufacturing and structure.

We have a bank of 3D printer pens that we can bring into schools, or use at festivals, to introduce pupils to 3D printing and to carry out a range of activities.

Such activities include:

  1. Fixing a turbine blades (click here for more information)
  2. Making samples with different internal structures to then mechanically test
  3. Making outlines of inspirational animals and plants
