Discover Materials Ambassador Conference

On 14th/15th September 2022, the first in-person Discover Materials Ambassador conference was held at the Henry Royce Institute Hub Building. PhD researchers, from Universities in Oxford, Birmingham, Swansea and Manchester, all involved in outreach activities, gathered to discuss the role of Discover Materials and share best practice.

Highlights included talks from Amanda Southworth on providing sessions to school students, and Anna Ploszajski, who talked about the role of storytelling in outreach. Diane Aston (IOM3) also showed off the various materials from the IOM3 Discovery Box.
