Data-driven discovery of photocatalysis for energy harvesting and environmental remediation.
What is the coolest thing you have done in your career so far?
Machine learning prediction of experimental photocatalyst crystalline phases.
What do you see yourself doing in the future?
Machine learning discovery of novel materials.
What is your favourite material (and why)?
Bismuth oxyiodide (BiOI). Its characteristic vivid orange colour is just the first attractive of this versatile and tuneable material.
What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Practise harder, and then, harder.
