Discover Metals at CoCoMAD

After a damp, drizzly start to the the Discover Materials Ambassadors engaged with about four hundred of people (mainly families with young children)  in the Science Field in Cotteridge Park at the CoCoMAD festival (a family friendly festival organised by the Friends of Cotteridge Park).

Ambassadors trialled the ‘Discover Metals workshop’ – a set of activities exploring the structure of metals, their properties, applications and sustainability that we will develop into a set of activities for schools. The visitors who took part also got the chance to make a badge.

We also brought along the chocolate impact tester and made fruit batteries in addition to the Discover Metals workshop.
